in Hobart TONIGHT! We’re hitting the
Brisbane Hotel with the explosive lineup that

Chasm & Vida-Sunshyne to
release 'Move' October 23rd!
He is Chasm, Sydney-based producer-extraordinaire
who made his mark in 2008 with the Triple
J feature album debut Beyond The Beat Tape.
She is Melbourne-by-way-of-Ghana’s Vida-Sunshyne,
and the enigmatic voice featured on both Beyond
The Beat Tape and Astronomy Class’ Pursuit
of Happiness. Together they are an electric
collaboration of musical talent; one half
behind the boards, creating the template for
a limitless sonic foundation. The other, centre
stage; creating the connection between performer
and listener. The pair have created Move,
the brand new album that traverses the global
spectrum of soul, reggae, and hip hop. It
is a combination of styles and performances
that raises the bar for Australian music.

THUNDAMENTALS DEBUT NEW VIDEO
FOR “MOVE IT UP”
Following the success of their single launch
show this past weekend, explosive Blue Mountains
crew Thundamentals have debuted the brand
new video for the single “Move It Up”.
Directed by Matt Chuang (Town Hall Steps,
Hyjak N Torcha), the video features their
witty but down-to-earth lyricism and music
come to life; set to the backdrop of one of
their favourite venues. The single/video can
now be streamed on the brand new Thundamentals
website: http://www.thundamentals.com.
The song is from their upcoming full length
album, Sleeping On Your Style. Produced by
Thundamentals’ own DJ Morgs and Tommy
Fiasko, the album is set for release via Obese
Records on September 18th. Thundamentals will
also feature prominently on the upcoming Obese
Records Block Party tour which kicks off its
annual run October 9th at Sydney’s Metro.

FINAL OBESE BLOCK PARTY LINEUPS
REVEALED!
The final lineup for the 2009 Obese Records
Block Party has been revealed. Along with
headliners Drapht, Muph & Plutonic, and
the newly formed Gully Platoon, the tour will
feature Illy (on all dates), Thundamentals
(on most) and a rotating schedule of artists
including Hyjak N Torcha, Spit Syndicate,
Coalition Crew, Skryptcha, Bias B, and Reason
alongside one-off performances from Urthboy,
Horrorshow, Hunter, Rainman, Cross Bred Mongrels,
Beats Working and many more. The tour’s
homecoming in Melbourne will feature an extensive
10-artist extravaganza to cap off the run
before heading off for its curtain call in
Hobart. The tour kicks off October 9th in
Sydney before making its way across the nation
with stops in Brisbane, Newcastle, Cairns,
Albury, Byron Bay, Perth, Adelaide, Hobart,
and Melbourne.
